  • Apply accurate ICD-10 codes to inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services records
  • Maintain knowledge of current laws and regulations related to insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and DRG coding
  • Perform quality improvement reviews and other assigned duties related to Health Information Management
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of Medical Record Technology program
  • + 2 years of experience in Health Information Management Coding
Preferred Qualifications
  • RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or coding certificate
  • Demonstrated skill in using 3M Encoder computer software for ICD-10-CM and CPT
Work Environment

This position will interact with medical staff and physicians throughout the hospital. The work area is well-lit, and the position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, talking on the phone, and working on a computer.
