**Job Title:** Clinical Supervisor
The Clinical Supervisor is a key role at Aveanna Healthcare, responsible for overseeing patient care activities in the home setting. This position requires a registered nurse with excellent leadership and communication skills to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with relevant regulations.
Job Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor will work closely with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, establish care plans, and conduct on-site supervisory visits. This role demands flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate care plans for assigned patients, ensuring comprehensive and ongoing assessments of their needs.
- Perform on-site supervisory visits to assess patient, family, environment, and clinical caregivers, documenting findings and recommendations.
- Assume responsibility for upholding CHAP standards and ensuring delivery of high-quality, compliant nursing services.
- Contribute to retention initiatives by fostering a supportive work environment and promoting caregiver satisfaction and longevity.
- Ensure availability and proper operation of necessary equipment and supplies related to patient care.
- Provide direct patient care as needed and promote expectations and satisfaction with internal and external customers.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing services, analyzing and reporting clinical data and relevant findings.
- Provide ongoing supervision, orientation, training, education, and evaluation of clinical caregivers.
- Adhere to professional practice standards, company policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor consistent with registered nurse standards of practice.
Requirements:
• Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's degree in nursing from a state-accredited RN program
• Clinical or other work experience as per state and/or federal laws and regulations
• RN licensure in designated state(s) as appropriate
• Valid Driver's license and acceptable MVR
• Preferences: RN experience and knowledge to effectively administer the private duty program
• Other Skills/Abilities: ability to comfortably work with families with limited resources, quick-thinking and astute decision-making skills, attention to detail, time management, effective problem-solving and conflict resolution, excellent organization and communication skills, and ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
• Must be able to travel; company does not provide vehicles or transportation
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 40 pounds
• Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting
• Must be able to sit and climb stairs
• Must have visual and hearing acuity
• Must have a strong sense of smell and touch
• Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
• Must be able to appropriately respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport
• Occasional rapid movement and physical agility in response to the spontaneity of children and those patients with neurological impairment
• Environment: must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions.
