Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Marketing Leader to join our BlueTriton Brands Marketing organization in California. This position will be responsible for leading and executing brand building strategies, managing day-to-day business and marketing execution, leading cross-functional and inter-agency teams, developing the brand innovation/renovation pipeline, and contributing to the shaping of long-term portfolio positioning and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans that address all aspects of the marketing mix, including packaging, renovation plans, pricing, promotion, market research, advertising, and media.
  • Drive cross-functional teams to develop and execute key business initiatives, including new product launches, renovations, and demand-driving initiatives.
  • Participate in commercial planning processes, working closely with sales to develop joint commercial plans for the following year and supporting key brand initiative implementation within retail channels.
  • Lead monthly brand reviews to analyze and diagnose market share/shipment performance, identifying key root causes, trend analysis, and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Manage the brand P&L and budget, working closely with financial co-pilots to report to senior management on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage portfolio initiatives for the regional spring water team, including pack renovations, special packs, partner activations, and other initiatives.


Qualifications

Key Qualifications:



  • Minimum 5 years of experience in brand management, preferably in the Consumer Packaged Goods/Beverage industries.
  • Brand quarterback experience, including developing brands, managing agency partners, and brand planning (commercialization, budgeting, and forecasting).
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to effectively interface at all levels.
  • Effective communication skills, with concise written and verbal communication.
  • Problem-solving skills, with creative thinking and strategic and analytical skills.
  • Bias for action, with the ability to take initiative and develop and seek out creative and innovative ideas.
  • Solid marketing fundamentals, with strong knowledge of marketing principles, analytical expertise, and familiarity with syndicated data sources and internal data sources.
  • Innovative thinking, with experience in bringing products and/or campaigns to life with limited resources.
  • Local knowledge, with a strong understanding of the West Coast/California market and consumer/cultural dynamics.
  • Experience first, with an MBA not mandatory.
