Position Overview

We are thrilled to introduce a fresh Cantina-inspired Bar and Restaurant, Arriba Abajo, located within the Thompson and Tommie Austin, two distinguished lifestyle hotels in Downtown Austin. This innovative venue will feature a spacious 17,000 square feet of both indoor and outdoor dining and lounge areas, along with several private event spaces and a pool deck catering to hotel guests and residents.

Role of the Server

As a restaurant server, your primary responsibility will be to take guest orders and present their selected food and beverage choices. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the menu and be able to provide insightful recommendations from our diverse array of culinary and drink selections. Restaurant servers play a crucial role in ensuring guests have a memorable experience by engaging in friendly conversation and delivering exceptional customer service.

The tommie Austin, with its 193 king rooms, is designed for the adventurous spirit. Guests are encouraged to explore the vibrant offerings of Austin, with every corner of tommie providing inspiration and opportunities for connection. This hotel will include a bespoke coffee and wine shop, allowing guests to tailor their stay while still enjoying warm and genuine service.

Both hotels are anchored by our reimagined cantina-themed restaurant, a 13,000 sq ft indoor and outdoor oasis, as well as The Diner Bar + The Grey Market, a street-side concept serving daily fare for locals, residents, and guests, led by award-winning Chef Mashama Bailey. This mixed-use development will also feature a residential tower and ample retail space, along with a state-of-the-art fitness center and simulator room.
