Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable bus operator to transport school children safely and efficiently. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of students on board.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a school bus over designated routes in accordance with time schedules.
  • Pick up and discharge school children safely according to transportation rules.
  • Escort children across the street, stopping traffic when necessary.
  • Transport students and teachers on field trips to various locations, choosing the best route and making departure and arrival times as scheduled.
  • Maintain good order among students on the bus and follow district policies regarding disciplining of children and contact with parents and other citizens.
  • Keep a record of mileage, fuel, and oil, and prepare reports of driving hazards and incidents.
Essential Skills:
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Operate a school bus exercising good judgment and extreme caution.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work.

Estimated Salary: $48,000 per year
