Job Description

We are seeking an experienced After-School Lead Teacher to join our team at Besse Bolton Kid's Club in Palo Alto. As the After-School Lead Teacher, you will oversee the daily operations of our after-school program, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for our students. You will work closely with other teachers and staff to develop and implement lesson plans, manage student behavior, and communicate with parents and guardians. Your leadership and guidance will be essential in creating a positive and enriching experience for our students.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with diverse student populations and knowledge of play-based learning are highly valued. A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans for after-school program
  • Supervise and manage student behavior to ensure a safe and positive learning environment
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure program goals and objectives are met
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student attendance and progress
Compensation

$27.05-$30.53 hourly wage, 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 12pm-6pm. Benefits include vaccination requirements, annual flu vaccine, TB testing, and fingerprint background clearance check. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
