Job Title: Assistant Marketing Specialist

Join Marshall & Sterling Inc. as an Assistant Marketing Specialist and contribute to the success of our commercial insurance team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to assist our marketing specialist team in placing commercial accounts for small and large businesses. As an Assistant Marketing Specialist, you will work closely with marketing managers to support sales opportunities and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt and efficient assistance to the marketing specialist team in completing administrative functions.
  • Work with the marketing specialist team to prepare and market small and large business accounts.
  • Collaborate with the sales department and marketing specialist to obtain and complete commercial lines applications, supplementals, and requested documents.
  • Follow agency workflows and procedures as directed, utilizing task management systems for ultimate efficiency.
  • Obtain a P&C license within one year of employment.
  • Participate in continuing education programs when available.
  • Communicate with supervisors/ managers any issues to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Build and maintain a favorable and professional work relationship with other staff members.
  • Adhere to established employee manual policies and guidelines.
  • Adhere to workflow procedures and follow guidelines to reduce the risk of E&O claims.
  • Promptly report all E&O claims or potential E&O claims.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and agency information.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Agency or company background in commercial insurance underwriting.
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with Vertafore a plus.
  • Appropriate state insurance licenses and continuing education required.
  • Works effectively and relates well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
  • High level of organizational ability with attention to detail.

Compensation:

The starting salary is $19.24 per hour. The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
