Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Nursing House Supervisor to oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care and services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for managing patient care activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient care activities, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate and monitor staffing levels and skill mix to meet patient care needs.
  • Develop, review, and update departmental policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement best practices to improve quality care and services.
  • Assess and monitor clinical nursing practice for optimal patient care.
  • Act as patient advocate and design processes to improve systems and patient care results.
  • Follow up on clinical issues and monitor quality of care delivered.
  • Supervise staff, assess their needs, and identify educational opportunities.
  • Manage and resolve human resource, employee, and department safety issues.
  • Collaborate with all departments throughout the medical center.
  • Assist in developing, monitoring, and maintaining the budget.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum two years of experience as charge nurse, preceptor, quality improvement champion, or other related leadership experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of critical care or emergency department nursing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
