Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as building maintenance and upkeep.
  • Oversee food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation to ensure high-quality food is served to our guests.
  • Count and manage cash and make bank deposits as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
  • Coordinate staff assignments to ensure efficient use of resources and timely preparation of food.
  • Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, verifying product quality and quantity.
  • Monitor budgets and payroll records, reviewing financial transactions to ensure authorized and budgeted expenditures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage food and equipment supplies.
  • Schedule staff hours and assign duties to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
  • Establish and enforce standards for personnel performance and customer service.
  • Perform food preparation or service tasks as needed, such as cooking, clearing tables, and serving food and drinks.
  • Plan menus and food utilization based on anticipated guest numbers, nutritional value, palatability, popularity, and costs.
  • Keep required records for government agencies regarding sanitation and food subsidies.
  • Test cooked food for palatability and flavor conformity.
  • Organize and direct worker training programs, resolve personnel issues, hire new staff, and evaluate employee performance.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in restaurant management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of food costing, recipe writing, and quality assurance compliance.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic accounting skills and understanding of standard income statements (P&L).
