Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Technical Training Instructor to join our team at the Woodland Job Corps Center. As a Career Technical Training Instructor, you will be responsible for providing students with industry-recognized instruction and training in the Career Technical Training Center, leading to full-time jobs, higher education, or advanced training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs that meet industry standards and ensure students achieve their career goals.
  • Provide individualized case management to students, ensuring their progress, achievement, and completion of the Job Corps program.
  • Collaborate with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
  • Meet or exceed DOL/Company performance goals and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Provide quality career technical training that leads to student placement and job leads.
  • Maintain a well-organized and conducive learning environment, adhering to Center's dress code and behavioral standards.
  • Produce high-quality work and assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
  • Understand and apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities.
  • Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
  • Provide high-quality supervision and management for the student population, taking swift and appropriate action when necessary.
  • Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner, contributing meaningfully to group efforts.
  • Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas, identifying problems, analyzing causes, and evaluating appropriate solutions.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year of experience in teaching or a related field is required.
  • Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or accredited by a professional trade organization.
  • Previous Job Corps experience is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling, and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
