Job Summary:

South Shore Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

About the Role:

As a PACU RN, you will be responsible for providing individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia. You will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and provide education to patients and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patients' unique needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education to patients and families on post-operative care and recovery

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current RN licensure in Massachusetts
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • Previous experience in a PACU or similar setting
