Job Summary

South Shore Health is seeking a skilled Hospital Medicine Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Hospital Medicine Program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our hospitalized patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients following written guidelines approved by the Department of Medicine.
• Report to the Hospitalist Program leadership team, including the Lead APCs and Program Director.
• Perform medical services faithfully, with due diligence and efficiency, to the best of your ability, and in accordance with the applicable standards of your profession, canons of professional ethics, and all laws and SSH policies in effect from time to time.
• Be respectful of patients, other healthcare providers, and the physicians and staff of SSH.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards.

Requirements

• Completion of Advanced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner training program from an accredited institution.
• Licensure as a licensed independent practitioner credentialed through the Medical Staff Services Office.
• ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• 2 years of Acute Medicine experience, preferred.
