As a key member of the Access Services Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the library's reserve collection, and processing interlibrary loan requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service at the front-line Access Services desk, ensuring students, faculty, and staff receive timely and accurate assistance.
  • Reserve Collection Management: Maintain the library's robust reserve collection, including print, electronic, and digital materials, and ensure timely processing of items.
  • Interlibrary Loan Processing: Process interlibrary loan requests using appropriate software, communicate with vendors and lending libraries, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Building Security: Ensure building security during night and weekend shifts, maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, library science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a library or academic setting.
  • Skills: Understanding of copyright, ability to analyze problems, and make independent decisions in a dynamic environment.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday, with occasional evening and weekend shifts. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
