Job Title: Driver

Covenant Living is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver to provide transportation services for our residents and staff. As a Driver, you will be responsible for operating a 14-passenger shuttle bus and private passenger vehicles to transport residents on outings, shopping trips, and appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Transport residents and staff to various destinations, including off-campus locations.
  • Assist residents with wheelchairs and walkers, as needed.
  • Communicate with receptionist to determine pick-up and drop-off times.
  • Handle use of mobile telephone to receive ready for pick-up reports and plan driving routes.
  • Report any incidents or issues related to transportation, including changes in resident condition.
  • Perform safety checks on vehicles, including lights, gauges, and mirrors.
  • Perform cleaning of interior and exterior of vehicles.
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 3 years of US driving experience.
  • 6 months of previous related driving experience, with knowledge of roads and surrounding communities.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions and procedures, with ability to react calmly in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of general vehicle maintenance.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written in English.
  • Genuine compassion for elderly and disabled, with ability to interact with residents in a pleasant and professional manner.
