Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Burn Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our interdependent team, you will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan to achieve positive patient and department outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients with critical illness and vent management, responding to Code Blue situations and initiating protocol, special procedures, and cardiac monitoring.
  • Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
  • Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing, with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state in which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider certification is preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
  • Prior acute care Registered Nurse experience is preferred.
