We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Burn ICU Nurse to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a critical care registered nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our burn unit.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, including those with burn injuries.
- Manage patient flow, including screening, preparation for exams, and arranging for testing and admissions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Document patient records, including test results and examination findings.
- Respond to and refer incoming calls, including phone triage when necessary.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice, or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider certification, preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
- Prior acute care registered nurse experience, preferred.
