Responsibilities

As a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing a range of transportation projects from conception to completion, ensuring engineering excellence and sustainability.
  • Implementing best practices to improve project delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Providing leadership and technical guidance to the engineering team while collaborating with other disciplines.
  • Preparing project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
  • Balancing workloads effectively among team members.
  • Supporting business development initiatives in collaboration with regional leaders.
  • Ensuring quality control for all team deliverables.
Qualifications

Required
This position requires a blend of skills, experience, and education, including:
  • 12+ years of experience in transportation engineering, with at least 5 years in project management and 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or Traffic Engineer (TE) certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of active, non-motorized transportation.
  • Experience in preparing Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for roadway projects.
  • Strong leadership and ethical decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Preferred
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects for diverse clients.
  • Active involvement in relevant professional associations.
