POSITION SUMMARY
This role serves as the primary point of contact for managing customer orders and liaising with the manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for establishing and nurturing customer relationships while consistently delivering exceptional service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review customer order backlog to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
- Maintain ongoing communication with purchasing to meet raw material requirements for customer schedules.
- Process customer requests for quotes and ensure prompt responses with completed quotes.
- Verify that customer purchase orders align with quoted terms.
- Issue manufacturing shop tickets accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage customer purchase orders and releases using the ERP system.
- Coordinate with external vendors to secure completion dates for various services.
- Maintain regular contact with Sales and Planning to ensure accurate part number revisions.
- Ensure customer releases comply with established policies regarding order quantities.
- Track and coordinate manufacturing and distribution orders in response to customer inquiries.
- Provide status updates to customers and coordinate shipping activities within the facility.
- Work with Quality Assurance to fulfill customer requests for necessary documentation and certifications.
- Collaborate with Accounting to process customer credit requests and verify their accuracy.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Adaptability to ERP system changes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Negotiation skills to address customer concerns effectively.
- Understanding of basic manufacturing processes and industrial products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma required; a two-year degree is preferred. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is also required.
