Finance Manager

The Finance Manager plays a critical role in providing financial analysis and support to the Redmond and Bellingham Operations Management Teams. This position is responsible for optimizing organizational performance, analyzing plant variances and trends, and providing informed recommendations to product costing while maintaining appropriate accounting controls and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial data and operational metrics to deliver meaningful and actionable reports.
  • Ensure compliance with JSOX controls.
  • Provide financial support to the Category Management team in analyzing operations performance of products and standard margins.
  • Prepare financial reporting for plant operations, including actual versus budget performance.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve product cost estimates for existing and new items, and integrate into costing system.
  • Lead budget preparation and forecasting process for Redmond and Bellingham.
  • Manage the development of standard costs and absorption rates.
  • Oversee monthly plant related financial closings, including all reconciliations of inventories and variance analyses.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to support cost control and efficiency initiatives.
  • Review and analyze work orders for major variances from standards and complete the work order close process.
  • Identify trends and work with Production to improve efficiencies to decrease costs.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of cost accounting procedures.
  • Provide assistance regarding account charges and other questions affecting financial statements.
  • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.
  • Support Finance with accumulation of audit documentation and annual audit processes.
  • Plan, organize and direct all activities of the cost accounting with 25% of the time on the production/plant floor.
  • Ensure proper invoice compliance with WA sales tax and exemption laws.
  • Special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing accounting or process cost environment.
  • Proficient with computer systems and MS Office applications; ERP systems experience preferred.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Some travel required.
Salary:

$100,000 to $125,000
