The Wine & Spirits Education Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in our educational initiatives. This position focuses on the planning, organization, and support of various educational programs designed for both enthusiasts and professionals to enhance their knowledge of wine and spirits.
- Enhancing Educational Experiences: You will oversee the smooth execution of programs such as our annual Focus Education Program and the Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) exam preparation. This involves managing schedules, participant enrollments, and maintaining effective communication with attendees.
- Resource Management: Your responsibility will include gathering, organizing, and distributing educational materials, ensuring participants have the necessary resources for their learning journey.
- Effective Communication: You will maintain contact with participants, providing essential follow-ups to ensure they are well-informed and prepared for their educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate programs, projects, and processes specific to the wine and spirits education sector.
- Manage the annual calendar, participant enrollment and tracking, and communication for the Focus Education Program and CSW exam preparation sessions.
- Procure, compile, and distribute materials for all educational programs and seminars.
- Handle product ordering, transportation, and preparation of wine for seminars and educational groups.
- Oversee various services for the online Gallo Wine Academy, including website management, user servicing, and registration drives.
- Assist in recording statistics, billing, and report generation for the Education Department.
- Transform educational presentations and materials into publishable formats as required.
- Prepare and coordinate special projects as needed.
- Interpret and communicate administrative and operational policies and procedures.
- Act as a liaison with internal and external parties regarding purchasing, facilities, and operations.
- Associate's degree; or a High School diploma with 2 years of relevant experience in human resources, corporate training, or sales support.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required.
- Experience in reading and understanding simple instructions and correspondence.
- Willingness to travel for training, meetings, and events as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in event planning or project management.
- Background in client services, office management, or administrative support.
- Website and database management experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to perform basic calculations and understand algebraic and geometric concepts.
