Job Title: Head Cheerleading Coach

Chatham University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Cheerleading Coach to lead our Cheerleading Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall development and maintenance of the program, including structural and administrative organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with the Assistant Athletic Director to ensure seamless program operations.
  • Maintain a safe and organized practice environment, planning effective practices to promote team growth and development.
  • Distribute a monthly calendar to cheerleaders, outlining practice and event schedules.
  • Schedule tryouts, informational meetings, and other program-related events.
  • Determine tryout criteria and conduct tryouts in an organized manner, providing adequate time for students to learn and prepare.
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Athletic Director regarding uniform and practice gear needs.
  • Collect and inventory cheer uniforms, ensuring they are in good condition and suitable for use.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time coaching experience.
  • Computer proficiency and a valid driver's license.
  • Experience working with a diverse student population.
