Head Cheerleading Coach Job Description

Chatham University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Cheerleading Coach to lead our Cheerleading Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall development and maintenance of the program, including structural and administrative organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with the Assistant Athletic Director to ensure seamless program operations.
  • Maintain a safe and organized practice environment, planning effective practices to promote team growth and development.
  • Distribute a monthly calendar to cheerleaders, outlining practice and event schedules.
  • Schedule tryouts, pre- and post-tryout informational meetings, and determine tryout criteria to ensure a fair and organized process.
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Athletic Director regarding uniform and practice gear needs, and collect and inventory cheer uniforms.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time coaching experience.
  • Computer proficiency and a valid driver's license.
  • Experience working with a diverse student population.
Salary and Benefits:

This part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20.00.
