Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Assistant Property Manager to support our Community Manager in overseeing and managing the financial and operational facets of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee file management and run assigned reports to ensure accurate and timely data.
  • Utilize exceptional customer service and sales techniques to provide an efficient and courteous response to all resident requests.
  • Collect all monies due and oversee audit evictions, potential skips, and move-outs by walking units to evaluate occupancy.
  • Communicate with outside legal counsel during the eviction process to ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Finalize move in/out and renewals files and enter data into property management software to maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee resident renters insurance procedure to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Collect deposits and process future residents' applications to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Ensure the model/target apartments are ready for show and maintain a clean workspace to showcase our community's amenities.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of lease terms, unit specifications, availability, current market conditions, and all company and community policies to ensure understanding of required application information, screening process, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain contact with all apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational material and promote our community.
  • Shop surrounding or competing properties and conduct outreach marketing to stay informed about market trends and competitor activity.
  • Develop and maintain on-going resident retention programs to ensure high resident satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents to ensure prompt attention and resolution.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times to represent our company and community in a positive and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Customer service experience to provide exceptional service to residents and vendors.
  • 6 months experience in the property management industry to understand industry-specific procedures and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal to effectively communicate with residents, vendors, and colleagues.
  • The ability to remain professional and courteous in a fast-paced working environment to ensure timely and accurate processing of tasks.
  • Organization skills with strong attention to detail to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.
