Special Education Teacher

Delta-T Group Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Special Education Teacher to work in the Northern, VA area.
About the RoleThis is an independent contractor opportunity for a dedicated professional to support students with special needs in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and specialists to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Set specific, measurable goals and objectives for each student based on their unique needs.
- Modify general education curriculum to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
- Develop and utilize specialized teaching materials and strategies.
- Regularly assess and monitor student performance and progress toward IEP goals.
- Evaluate student learning using various assessment tools and techniques.
- Teach academic and life skills using specialized instructional methods.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group instruction to support individual learning needs.
- Implement and manage behavioral interventions and strategies.
- Work closely with speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other specialists to support student development.
- Coordinate with general education teachers to ensure inclusion of students with disabilities in mainstream activities and lessons.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Ability to work amiably with colleagues, students, and their families.
- Compensation Rate range: $30.00+/hr.
- Experience working in all school settings.
- Establish a relationship with a leading referral agency for behavioral health.
- Predictable payments processed weekly.
- Increase or decrease schedule at your discretion.
