Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at Wayne Farms LLC. As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide focused nursing care through the assessment and treatment of occupational-related illnesses and injuries.
  • Maintain accurate records of OSHA and Workers' Compensation incidents.
  • Administer drug and alcohol testing as per company policies.
  • Assist with medical cost management through early identification, treatment, and follow-up nursing care.
  • Partner with workers' compensation adjusters, case managers, and providers to resolve claims in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement wellness initiatives and programs that align with company goals.
  • Lead ergonomics initiatives and analyze injury data to identify trends and implement improvement efforts.
  • Manage respiratory protection, first responder, and blood-borne pathogen programs.
  • Conduct new hire orientation related to safety and medical procedures.
  • Advise, coach, and educate employees on preventative health and wellness.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current, active, and unrestricted state license.
  • Minimum three (3) years' nursing experience; occupational health experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA standards and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work unusual shifts, including holidays, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
  • Ability to move about the facilities in hot, dusty, or cold/humid and noisy environments as needed.
