Job Title: Associate Producer II

The Associate Producer II role is a key position within the Non-Traditional Production Team at ESPN, supporting the creation of engaging graphics and content for live event coverage. This role will be assigned to various remote sports productions, collaborating with internal departments and external partners to deliver high-quality productions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee graphics management for live events from school control rooms, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to ESPN's standards.
  • Support producing, ISO producing, and associate directing roles during live events, providing expertise and guidance as needed.
  • Provide constructive feedback on graphic productions for linear and digital school productions, driving continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate school production and technical capabilities to ensure they meet ESPN's standards for graphics production.
  • Collaborate with ESPN Sport Leaders and Graphic Managers to implement sport-specific guidelines and initiatives on school productions.
  • Work closely with the Producer to design, implement, and execute on-air graphics that support storylines for remote telecasts.
  • Utilize knowledge of sports and graphics to inform concept development, looks, and content for assigned events.
  • Coordinate and support various aspects of production, including schedules, facilities, and remote production assets.
  • Contribute to the creative development and storyline ideas for assigned telecasts, ensuring engaging and informative content.
  • Research sports information and obtain materials as directed for assigned remote telecasts.
  • Track and report on production schedules and budgets, updating production tracking spreadsheets and monitoring remote production assets.
  • Train and mentor Content Associates and Production Assistants in various roles, including prep work for games, events, edits, or shoots.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in remote sports/events production.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ross Xpression graphics platform and live event production principles.
  • Ability to manage high-volume projects and collaborate with multiple departments.
  • Experience producing graphics for live events and operating processes for remote sports productions.
  • Knowledge of sports and sports history, with a basic understanding of story ideas and concepts for assigned teases, sales features, promotions, rollouts, and special animation elements.
  • Non-linear editing experience and good communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to function effectively in a dynamic environment subject to frequent changes.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
