We are seeking a Radiological Medicine Specialist for a permanent position, offering a relocation bonus, within the Healthcare Systems and Services sector.

Position Overview:
This role involves performing a range of technical procedures that necessitate a significant level of independent judgment and initiative in the application of radionuclides for diagnosing and treating diseases in patients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide attentive care to patients during clinical procedures.
• Confirm patient identity using two identifiers and review procedure orders.
• Recognize and respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Gather relevant patient history and check for any procedural contraindications.
• Operate and maintain necessary auxiliary equipment for procedures.
• Communicate clearly with patients and their families.
• Prepare patients adequately for procedures.
• Select and administer appropriate radionuclides/medications via the correct route and dosage.
• Prepare instruments, computers, and imaging protocols as per departmental guidelines.
• Implement ALARA principles in all clinical duties.
• Assess image quality and perform additional views as necessary.
• Process and analyze computer-generated data.
• Collect samples for non-imaging studies.
• Prepare and administer pharmacologic agents as per established protocols.
• Maintain sterile techniques as required.

• Conduct imaging, non-imaging, functional studies, and therapeutic examinations according to established departmental protocols or as directed by the supervising physician.

• Ensure patient safety during transitions between devices or positions.

• Be knowledgeable about the operation of all safety devices common to the department and exercise judgment regarding their use.
