Key Responsibilities- Provide general aspects of patient care that meet physical and/or psychosocial needs, within the nursing assistant's scope of practice.
- Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
- Communicate effectively with the RN or LPN about patient status and responses.
- Collect, report, and assist in documentation of data.
- Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and promotes positive patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned to promote efficient functioning of the unit.
- High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a certified nursing assistant program is strongly preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required upon hire or during the new employee introductory orientation period.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic computer skills necessary.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
