Bilingual Clinic Assistant

Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Clinic Assistant to join our team. As a Bilingual Clinic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.
Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bilingual Clinic Assistant to work in our Manchester, CT Health Center's front office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional patient care and support to clients, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and completing administrative tasks.
- Assist clinicians in providing high-quality healthcare services, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and performing basic office functions.
- Participate in health center events to achieve established productivity and revenue cycle goals.
- Collaborate with center manager and clinicians to create efficient and effective systems and processes to ensure business success and sustainability.
- Ensure a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff, adhering to organizational and clinical standards, protocols, and policies.
- Provide factual, non-biased patient information and education necessary for patient visits.
- Perform technical clinical functions, such as blood pressure, venipuncture, lab work, and medical charting.
- Perform basic office functions, including office reception, telephone triage, stocking supplies, filing, billing, and coding, and routine insurance data entry.
- Solution-oriented and positive attitude, with a can-do approach to challenges.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with diplomacy and tact.
- Comfortable discussing sensitive topics, including sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancy options.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and have a reliable form of transportation.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish is preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Availability to work Saturdays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building and deepening your commitment to racial equity in your work.
