Role Overview
The Sales Associate will enhance sales and customer satisfaction by effectively and courteously assisting walk-in and phone customers in selecting and acquiring necessary products, utilizing technical expertise to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Duties

  • Responds to incoming calls and warmly welcomes customers entering the store, managing multiple customer interactions simultaneously while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Guides customers in product selection by asking insightful questions and actively listening to discern their needs. Provides assistance with product troubleshooting and addresses technical inquiries. Suggests alternative or substitute products as necessary.
  • Conducts product research and sourcing for customers using various resources.
  • Processes sales orders in the ERP system for invoicing or cash transactions. Manages customer returns and warranty claims in accordance with company policies.
  • Promptly follows up on all customer inquiries regarding information, quotes, alternative products, and delivery timelines. Communicates proactively with customers about any potential delays or issues with their orders.
  • Builds strong relationships with customers, recognizing and greeting regular patrons by name.
  • Ensures the showroom maintains high standards of cleanliness and organization through restocking, housekeeping, and display creation.
  • Addresses customer complaints and disputes in a timely and professional manner, balancing customer needs with business requirements.
  • Adheres to company pricing and credit policies.
Sales Responsibilities
  • Prepares and issues sales quotes in line with company guidelines and follows up to secure sales.
  • Educates customers and prospects about the range of products available and the advantages of choosing Hubbard Pipe & Supply Inc.
  • Boosts customer satisfaction and store profitability by proactively recommending additional items and promotions that may interest customers.
  • Identifies and communicates sales leads to outside sales personnel and management.
  • Promotes surplus, sale, discounted, and obsolete inventory to customers to maintain optimal inventory levels and informs management of any significant changes in product demand.
General Responsibilities
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of new and existing products and inventory by engaging in training and learning from experienced colleagues and factory representatives.
  • Assists with receiving, shipping, and general warehouse tasks as required.
  • Completes all transactions and necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
