Core Responsibilities:
- Field Operations & Travel: Regularly travel to customer and vendor sites within the designated region and across other areas to deliver technical services and support.
- Onsite Training: Conduct onsite training sessions for clients on the operation, repair, and upkeep of Voltguard Utilities products, ensuring they are proficient in utilizing and maintaining the equipment.
- Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Partner closely with engineering teams, technicians, and stakeholders at customer or vendor locations to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Proactive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance services at customer locations to optimize equipment performance, aligning maintenance activities with customer production schedules and equipment specifications.
- Customer Assistance: Provide prompt and effective responses to inquiries from both internal and external customers, including troubleshooting, maintenance guidance, and technical support.
- Sales Collaboration: Work effectively with sales teams and internal departments to understand customer requirements, enhance service delivery, and identify areas for product enhancement.
- Problem Resolution: Address technical challenges swiftly, offering immediate solutions and escalating complex issues to specialized teams when necessary.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive service records, generate service reports, and communicate insights or recurring issues to relevant departments for ongoing improvement.
Essential Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated experience in a field service engineering capacity, preferably within the utilities, energy, or industrial equipment sectors.
Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, renewable energy products, and associated equipment.
Capability to conduct technical training and convey complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently in remote or high-pressure settings.
Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight trips and occasional extended stays.
Proficiency in utilizing diagnostic tools, maintenance software, and CRM systems.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
Valid driver's license and the ability to meet travel obligations.
