This position encompasses two primary responsibilities: serving as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and acting as the Radiology Facility Coordinator.

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various nuclear imaging procedures, including cardiac evaluations and thyroid assessments, under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Director or physician.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring proper protocols are followed for oral or injectable delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures and operate advanced imaging technology, such as SPECT Gamma Cameras.
  • Capture and process imaging data, monitor patients for any adverse reactions, and adhere to ALARA safety standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate nuclear imaging equipment, manage dosimeter badges, and complete all required documentation accurately.

Radiology Facility Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of radiology procedures, including Nuclear, Ultrasound, and X-ray, while mentoring staff to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Assist X-ray and Ultrasound Technicians with report management and facilitate communication between radiology personnel and management.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives, data collection, and scheduling to optimize operational performance.
  • Manage the maintenance of equipment, ensure timely licensing renewals, and support efforts to increase patient volume for nuclear stress tests.
  • Guarantee the prompt delivery of reports, coordinate billing processes, and handle equipment upkeep and administrative responsibilities.
