Radiology Imaging Specialist

The Radiological Technologist is a certified health professional who applies the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation in diagnostic radiology.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtains patient clinical history and lab work, documenting information for licensed practitioners.
- Positions and immobilizes patients to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest, respecting patient comfort.
- Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
- Performs radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment and accessories.
- Verifies informed consent and completes pre and post-procedure documentation.
- Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures, applying aseptic surgical technique as needed.
- Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Associates degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred)
- State licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required)
- 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care
- Experience with Radiology Information System
