Neuro-Ophthalmologist – Connecticut

The American Academy of Ophthalmology is seeking a fellowship-trained, full-time Neuro-Ophthalmologist in the Connecticut region. The selected candidate will deliver exceptional clinical services in an outpatient environment, closely associated with a leading tertiary care academic institution. Responsibilities will include collaboration with neurology and neurosurgery teams on various clinical, educational, and administrative initiatives, along with active participation in residency training programs. The ideal applicant will possess the ability to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with referring physicians and other key partners. This role presents an outstanding opportunity due to immediate patient volumes and a well-established referral network.

Qualifications:

· Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology or Neurology.

· Completion of an AUPO-FCC compliant fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology or equivalent clinical experience is required.

· A strong commitment to teamwork and a performance-driven healthcare environment is essential.

· Ability to collaborate respectfully and build rapport with a diverse range of colleagues.

· Capacity to excel in a dynamic environment, challenging conventional practices and striving for innovation in care delivery.

· Excellent communication skills, bedside manner, and organizational abilities are required.

· A focus on bringing and promoting innovation within neuro-ophthalmology care practices.
