About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for leading the design and validation of medical device components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and validation of medical device components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and release products
  • Develop and execute test plans, protocols, and reports
  • Conduct and moderate test plan reviews, test protocol reviews, requirements reviews, and design reviews
  • Develop automated scripts using object-oriented programming languages or scripting languages
  • Review and research technologies and their interaction among system components to establish system performance to be tested
  • Work closely with stakeholders to establish and support development and testing strategies for the product and system
  • Understand the phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Support the completion of milestones
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Or advanced degree with 2 years of experience
  • Experience with system integration testing or simulated use testing with BLE solutions and mobile applications
  • Experience with integrated systems comprised of embedded software, application software, electro mechanical control systems
  • Experience with system and software configuration management
  • Experience with requirements reviews and management through tools such as DOORs and/or PTC Integrity
  • MS in software engineering, computer engineering, or computer science
  • Experience in medical device/FDA regulated industry and compliance with IEC-60601, 62304, 14971, 62366
  • Experience with control systems, micro fluidics

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $104,157,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
