About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for leading the design validation activities for medical device components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and release products
  • Act as a focal point for design validation activities at the system level
  • Develop and execute test plans, protocols, and reports
  • Conduct and moderate Test Plan Reviews, Test Protocol Reviews, Requirements Reviews, and Design Reviews
  • Develop automated scripts using object-oriented programming languages or scripting languages
  • Review and research technologies and their interaction among system components to establish system performance to be tested
  • Work closely with stakeholders to establish and support development and testing strategies for the product and system
  • Understand the phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Support the completion of milestones
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Or advanced degree with 2 years of experience
  • Experience with System Integration Testing or Simulated Use Testing with BLE solutions and mobile applications
  • Experience with Integrated System comprised of Embedded Software, Application Software, Electro Mechanical Control Systems
  • Experience with System and Software Configuration Management
  • Experience with requirements reviews and management through tools such as DOORs and/or PTC Integrity
  • MS in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Experience in Medical Device/FDA Regulated Industry and compliance with IEC-60601, 62304, 14971, 62366
  • Experience with Control Systems, Micro Fluidics

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $104,157,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
