Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support fast-paced operational projects at Stellar Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace systems engineering and be able to work effectively with senior management, technical project directors, and customer stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, test, and document enterprise-wide solutions for total systems or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products.
  • Analyze and identify all or part of the customer's existing or new systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs, and establish functional and technical specifications and standards.
  • Solve interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem.
  • Provide support for detailed test planning, integration issues, lab configurations, RF integration questions, and regulatory discussions.
  • Experience in building Systems Requirements Review (SRR) / System Design Review (SDR) / Preliminary Design Review (PDR) / Critical Design Review (CDR) products and conducting those reviews.

Requirements

  • BS/BA and 12-15 years of experience or MS and 10-13 years of experience, or Phd 8-10 years of experience.
  • Technical Degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams to develop/implement hardware/software requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up to support the customer's needs, clearly communicate (orally & written) ideas, work autonomously, take the initiative to provide creative alternatives to intractable challenges or systemic problems.
  • Demonstrated strong customer and partner relationship building skills.
  • Work experience leading multiple disciplines at multiple geographically diverse sites.
  • Experience in developing or managing the development of advanced programs, to include integration of commercial technology, and development of specialized hardware solutions.

Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package).

Deliverables

Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the customer and/or government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction.

The nature of this work will, at times, require a quick response to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
