What are the standard working hours?

The operational hours for the Gashland facility are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5 PM. Your primary work schedule will align with these hours, with occasional requirements to extend your hours to meet patient needs.

What are the responsibilities of an RN?

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver patient care under the supervision of a physician, nurse practitioner, or other advanced practice provider.

What does a typical workday entail?

  • Accurately and promptly executing specific verbal or written orders (potentially in the form of protocols or standing orders) issued and signed by a physician. Competently assessing and advising patients. Administering medications and treatments, and performing procedures as prescribed by a physician.
  • Efficiently coordinating patient procedures. Correctly and appropriately communicating test preparation instructions, hospital registration requirements, and physician directives to patients in a timely manner. Thoroughly educating and explaining procedures and treatment plans to patients and their caregivers.
  • Competently assisting providers to optimize patient volume. Returning patient calls promptly. Documenting patient care accurately and in a timely manner. Performing electronic medical record tasks correctly and promptly.
  • Collaborating and communicating effectively with all providers. Coordinating and assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive health care plan with all team members. Promoting teamwork and providing excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
  • Adhering to all regulatory and patient safety clinical standards.

What qualifications are required?

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse license.
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in a physician's office setting.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Fundamental office skills, patient-centered approach, exceptional time management and organizational skills; ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
