Position Summary and Qualifications
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional, patient-focused care in accordance with departmental requirements and state regulations.
In collaboration with healthcare providers and the care team, you will offer personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, adhering to established nursing protocols such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions upon admission and during each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Execute procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and take appropriate actions in case of adverse reactions.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving issues.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by simplifying complex medical terminology.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Registered Nurse Diploma.
