Overview

Skamania Lodge, a leading global hotel management company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to join our team at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Washington. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and developing a cohesive hotel business plan.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute yield strategies to maximize revenue streams
  • Lead a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, training, and motivation to achieve sales targets
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, Regional and Corporate staff, ownership, and subject matter experts to ensure brand building and asset growth
  • Participate in community relations and create a positive reputation for Skamania Lodge
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive hotel business plan, focusing on direct sales, PR, revenue management, and ecommerce strategies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, or Advertising, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of hotel/resort sales leadership experience in a similar-sized operation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Salesforce/Delphi
  • Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills, and budgetary analysis capabilities
  • Extensive knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, recruitment, supervision, training, and motivation of managers
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with the public and other team members
  • Essential statistical and analytical skills to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment
  • 10% travel required
