About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Category Management, Information Technology to join our team at Sourcing Industry Group (SIG). This is a critical leadership position that requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering value to members and business partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interface: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their initiatives, goals, and objectives. Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities to drive cost savings and improve care quality.
  • Sourcing and Procurement Leadership: Formulate and implement category sourcing strategies for IT and services categories, providing guidance and leadership to direct reports and internal clients.
  • Process Improvement: Establish and expand the use of Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes, driving delivery and sustainability.
  • Performance Management: Lead the team in achieving savings and environmental goals, while advancing affordability and community benefit results.
  • Change Management: Foster a culture of change, building and implementing successful stakeholder relationships and driving accountability through the team.
Requirements
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in category management, including leadership and practice in blue-chip procurement organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, operations research, materials management, economics, or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters or law degree preferred, or six (6) years of experience in a directly related field.
