Job Title: HR Coordinator

LoveBird Home Care is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of HR Coordinator. This role is responsible for implementing and monitoring the organization's quality initiatives, as well as ensuring the effective utilization of HR programs and services.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor the organization's quality initiatives
  • Pre-screen applicants for HHA, CNA, DSP, and Caregiver positions, review applications, and verify required documents
  • Develop and follow a clear process for recruiting, screening, training, and hiring quality caregivers
  • Ensure adequate staffing to cover existing and new cases as needed
  • Perform 24x7 on-call coordinator duties as needed
  • Handle all paperwork related to HR for all employees
  • Adhere to agency policies and procedures
  • Learn and maintain contact management or scheduling software
  • Assist with client satisfaction surveys
  • Provide emergency care as needed in the field
  • Assist with training and evaluations
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Mail weekly invoices to clients
  • Prepare new hire packets, new client home care record books, and client intake packets
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized office environment
  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Resolve benefits-related problems
Requirements:
  • 1 year experience in HR setting with a leadership role
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and Homecare Software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and caring nature
  • Ability to work independently and multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail
  • Must be physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of caregiving
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent people, time management, confidentiality, and courtesy skills are essential for this position

Work Schedule:

As required by Lovebird HQ
