Job Title: HR Coordinator

LoveBird Home Care is seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Coordinator to join our team. As an HR Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the organization's human resources functions, ensuring that our employees receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor the organization's quality management systems
  • Pre-screen and review applications for HHA, CNA, DSP, and Caregiver positions
  • Develop and follow a clear process for recruiting, screening, training, and hiring quality caregivers
  • Ensure adequate staffing to cover existing and new cases as needed
  • Perform on-call coordinator duties as required
  • Handle all paperwork related to HR for all employees
  • Adhere to agency policies and procedures
  • Learn and maintain contact management or scheduling software
  • Assist with client satisfaction surveys
  • Provide emergency care as needed in the field
  • Assist with training and evaluations
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Prepare new hire packets, new client home care record books, and client intake packets
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized office environment
  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Resolve benefits-related problems
  • Ensure the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and services
  • Answer employee requests and questions
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in an HR setting with a leadership role
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and Homecare Software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and caring nature
  • Ability to work independently and multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail
  • Must be physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of caregiving
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field

Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent people, time management, confidentiality, and courtesy skills are essential for this position
