Place of Employment:

Home, office or work outside the office as required by LoveBird HQ management.

Accountable to Lovebird HQ's Director, Administrator, Manager.

A Day in the Life as a HR Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the organization's quality
  • Responsible for pre-screening of applicants applying for HHA, CNA, DSP, and Caregiver positions, application review, verification of all documents required by Agency's.
  • Develops and follows a clear and defined process of recruiting, screening, training and hiring quality caregivers.
  • Ensures appropriate staff to cover existing and new cases as needed.
  • Performs 24x7 on-call coordinator duties as neededestimated at one week per month.
  • Handles all paperwork related to HR for all employees.
  • Adhere to agency policies and procedures.
  • Learn and help maintain contact management or scheduling software.
  • Assist with client satisfaction surveys.
  • Emergency care as needed in the field.
  • Assist with training and evaluations.
  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Mail weekly invoices to clients.
  • Prepare new hire packets, new client home care record books, and client intake packets.
  • Maintain an office environmentclean, neat and organized.
  • Administering health and welfare plans, including enrolments, changes and terminations.
  • Resolving benefits-related problems.
  • Ensuring the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and services.
  • Answering employee requests and questions.


What Are We Looking For?

The HR Coordinator will work as a representative of LoveBird HQ and make sure the services offered by the company are received at high quality. HR Coordinator facilitates all HR functions and programs.

Experience:

•1 year experience in HR setting with a leadership role.

•Ability to work independently

•Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, Homecare Software.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Compassionate, patient and caring nature.

•Ability to work independently and multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.

•Must be physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of caregiving.

•Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.

•Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent people, time management, confidentiality and Courtesy skills are a key asset for this position.
