Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at TruGreen Limited Partnership. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling residential lawn care services to new and existing customers in a telemarketing sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell residential lawn care services tailored to the needs of customers, including weed control, fertilization, and/or insect control, as well as specialized services, to achieve weekly sales goals.
  • Generate additional sales revenue by cross-selling and up-selling to current customers.
  • Compile lists of potential customers for use as sales leads based on information from various resources.
  • Prepare and develop an effective sales pitch to build customer relationships, reinforce value-added services, and answer potential questions to overcome resistance and objections.
  • Call potential customers to explain the type and value of services or products, quote prices, negotiate with the customer, and close the sale.
  • Collect customer contact information for every sale.
  • Estimate date of service for customers based on knowledge of branch production and service schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports.
  • Conduct customer retention and service calls after service is completed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
  • Certification as required by federal, state, or local law.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consultative sales skills and abilities by phone and in-person.
  • Knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales).
  • Ability to find and assess potential sales opportunities.
  • Ability to build customer relationships and provide customer service.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Data entry skills with a computer and/or a mobile device.
  • Mathematical skill to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume.
  • Ability to travel locally on an extensive basis.
  • Time management skills, including punctuality for on-time attendance.

Pay Ranges

$33,410.00 - $60,138.00

This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience.
