Position Overview:

This role involves supervising and guiding nursing and support personnel during designated shifts. You will assess staffing requirements and allocate assignments based on staff availability, capabilities, patient census, acuity, and workflow. Direct patient care may be provided as necessary. You will support staff in resolving issues and may assume patient assignments to ensure adequate coverage. Evaluating patient care effectiveness and addressing any concerns impacting patient outcomes is essential. You will manage patient care complaints through established procedures and perform specific duties such as entering orders, managing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers. Ensuring staff have the necessary tools and supplies for safe, high-quality patient care is crucial. You will incorporate evidence-based practices into operational and clinical protocols while fostering an environment that promotes professional growth.

Educational Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program is mandatory, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Required Competencies:
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently are essential. The ability to function effectively in a high-pressure environment is required. Certifications Needed:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Handle With Care certification is preferred. Licensure Requirements:
