Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personal care and behavioral support to designated student(s).
  • Assist students with:
    • Classroom engagement
    • Personal grooming
    • Meal assistance and preparation
    • Toileting needs
  • Support with mobility and transfer tasks
  • Manage challenging behaviors and crisis situations
  • Promote student independence
  • Ensure the safety of students
  • Implement individualized behavioral plans
  • Verify any changes in assignments as per client requests
  • Confirm weekly schedules with Amergis office personnel.
  • Document care activities in accordance with Amergis guidelines
  • Complete communication notes or incident reports promptly when required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
Essential Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written English.
  • Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Recent TB Skin test or Chest X-ray
  • Successful completion of the company’s testing procedures
