About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Technician to join our team at Amergis. As a Behavioral Technician, you will play a vital role in facilitating educational and behavioral services for children and adults with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior management techniques, including prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies, to support students in achieving their goals.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support students in developing independent daily living skills.
  • Collaborate with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to develop and implement behavior intervention plans.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  • Document sessions and maintain accurate records in accordance with policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of pediatric experience preferred.
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR certification if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and families.
