Technical Team Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Deployed Team Lead to enhance our operations within the NIF and Photon Science Principal Directorate. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless functioning of mission-critical facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Deployed Team Lead, you will:
1. Provide expert technical and administrative guidance to supervisors and a diverse workforce engaged in preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and light construction tasks.
2. Develop, implement, and oversee contracts related to maintenance and services.
3. Collaborate with facility managers to assess maintenance requirements, prioritize tasks, and resolve complex issues.
4. Ensure that all work activities are properly scoped, planned, and executed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
5. Maintain effective communication with the Facility Management Division to coordinate work schedules and track job progress.
Additional Responsibilities:
For candidates at the higher level, responsibilities will include:
1. Providing advanced oversight and direction to a larger team of craft and service personnel.
2. Managing personnel-related duties such as recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
3. Overseeing project budgets and reporting on financial progress to senior management.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in a technical and administrative capacity, particularly in leading diverse teams.
- Advanced knowledge in mechanical, structural, and electrical systems, including facility modifications and maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex challenges.
- Proven ability to promote a safe work environment and adhere to regulatory guidelines.
