Job Title: Senior Program Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Program Director to lead our Supportive Housing programs in The Bronx and Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supportive housing, leadership skills, and experience working with vulnerable populations.

Job Summary:

The Senior Program Director will oversee two supportive housing programs, one serving families with special needs and the other serving formally homeless single adults and young adults who have aged out of foster care. The successful candidate will lead a team to provide supportive services, case management, and housing stability to residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, train, and supervise a team of social workers and case managers to provide supportive services and case management to residents.
  • Develop and implement program services, including groups, community meetings, and activities to meet resident needs.
  • Provide regular supervision and support to staff, including case management and training.
  • Collaborate with Leasing and Compliance staff to screen potential clients, manage property issues, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and law enforcement to support program goals.
  • Utilize data to inform program decisions and ensure goals are met.
Requirements:
  • LMSW, LMHC, or LCSW required.
  • At least 8 years of experience in supportive housing, with 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, mental health, substance use, and chronic homelessness required.
  • Experience managing service contracts and electronic case management systems.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible with work schedule.
Work Environment:

This role operates in a supportive housing site and works with a population who experiences mental illness, addiction, disability, HIV, and other chronic illnesses.
